There was a time I considered that to be old. Not today.

Today, I believe it is a gift and mine has been exceptional.
I spent 30 years raising 4 children. I got divorced. I learned how to work with my hands, and put myself through tech school.

I handled reindeer for Santa, drove around this Big, Beautiful Country – CT to MN, MN to Texas, and back. I worked pipeline in the Gulf of Mexico. I portaged with friends in the Boundary Waters of Canada, meeting a mama bear and her cub. I crossed the Gulf Stream from FL to the Bahamas in a a36-foot sailboat.

I landed a job, bought a car, bought a house.
Through it all, I wrote poetry, enjoyed being in Nature and mainly, I grew in my trust of the Lord.
Yes, life has been up and down, but overall, rich in experience and beauty and friendships.

I learned Wim Hof Breathing, meditation at the Common Ground in MN and practice gratitude. Join me!
Life is just beginning, in a new way.
I am offering my gift to the world today. If you are in need of something to remind you of the brevity, fragility and beauty of life, simply take it for free by putting a zero in the payment box. This download of an award-winning poem and photo can be accessed through Gumroad.
If you decide to leave a payment, I will donate 50% to UNICEF (after paying the Gumroad fee.) I believe children are our future, yet they disproportionately bear the brunt of every disaster – natural and man-made.
