Following last night’s down-pour, this is the song that comes to mind this morning (from Electric Light Orchestra:)
“Sun is shining in the sky
there ain’t a cloud in sight
It stopped raining, everybody’s in the play
And don’t you know
It’s a beautiful new day, hey, hey,
Hey there, Mr. Blue, pleased so pleased to be with you…”
And who isn’t?
Spring is finally here. Yay! (Yes, I know a snowstorm is coming Monday, but let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves. Let’s savor today!!)
Here is the official video. Give it a look-see:
This song reminds me of so many other nice days, days spent at the close chasing sunsets. I would pick one of my kids up from school and they would suggest, or I would offer, “Let’s chase sunsets!” and off we went, after putting this song onto the speakers of the car.
There is a certain glow to the world right before the sun drops. I love to capture it.

Working second shift, I rarely catch sunsets during the week, but the end of “Mr. Blue Sky” addresses that:
“Mr. Blue, you did it right
But soon comes Mr. Night creepin’ over
Now his hand is on your shoulder
Never mind I’ll remember you this
I’ll remember you this way.”
Yes, even the great sunny days end.
Grab it now.

Thank you!
Well, I’ve always loved “Celebration” by Kool and the Gang!
So fun! Celebrate good times, C’mon!
It’s a winner, for sure.
