It has been like giving birth, putting this “baby” out into the world.
Self-publishing is not as physically demanding as labor and delivery, but there is definitely something about it that feels like you are letting a baby loose in the world.
Will the world be kind to it? Will it get harassed? Abused? Flourish or flounder – your mom still cares about your outcome. This mom, anyway.
I was tickled to discover that I got ranked at #27 in Women’s Poetry after one day of pre-orders.
I have to laugh. You never know what that baby will do. Like my kids (I have four) I visited the Disciplinary Committee as well as the Magna Cum Laude induction ceremony.
Up and down and all of it life.
I am just holding on for the ride.
Join me.
I celebrate and cheer for you as you explore this new adventure. I have other friends who have published, and it isn’t easy. Hats off to you, and may your poetry inspire and bless all who are lucky enough to experience it!
Thank you for your enduring connection and encouragement. You bless me!
